Boston heeds President Obama’s call for service

The president asked. And on Saturday, hundreds in Boston answered.

As part of the National Day of Service, volunteers heeded a call from President Obama and turned out throughout the city for a variety of community projects, from serving food at soup kitchens to helping to clean blighted neighborhoods.

It would be nice to see the welfare recipients have a day of give back or register appreciation for the taxpayer instead of the usual "I ain't got enough" attitude. Rarely do they say thank you. It's always how much the programs aren't giving them enough to survive. Meanwhile they keep breeding more recipients.
