Lt. Gov. Timothy Murray says he will return donations

Responding to news that the attorney general is investigating his fund-raising, Lieutenant Governor Timothy Murray said Friday that he will cooperate and will return any campaign contributions that he should not have received.

“I think it was reported that last year I sat down and answered any questions that people have had, both with the OCPF [Office of Campaign and Political Finance] and with state and federal investigators on this, and we’re willing to do that,” he said. “We stand ready to continue to work with them to get money that we should not be in receipt of back to whoever gave it.”

Lt Gov Murray misled Keating and Niki Tsongas at Otis AFB Jan 17 ,2013 He is Clueless about the onging Catastrophic Wind Turbine Failure. The Furlander 1.5 Megawatt wind turbine ,FL-1577 started operating on 02 Dec 2009.. The turbine has metal flakes in the gearbox oil this past January and had a borescope inspection done. The inspection showed pitting of the gear teeth caused by pressing the metal flakes between the teeth. The problem component in the gearbox appears to be a bearing. A new gearbox that has a different/better bearing has been ordered . No matter how favorably you try to look at all the explanations provided by Lt Gov Murray..it still, as Sherlock Holmes once stated, leaves us trying to figure out "how did it come about that the fish wound up swimming in the milk" ?

Thank you for offering to return any unlawfully solicited campaign donations, Mr. Murray, but the commonwealth does not actually need your cooperation to disgorge the funds.  Can politicians raise money legitimately because people support their causes and believe that person can be elected and carry them out?  Are the shakedowns necessary?

I think the Governors plan to change the way busness is done in the Housing Authority is a good plan.

I have some friends who are always slamming Attorney General Martha Coakley. They don't like this and they don't like that. She is one of the few people on the official state letterhead doing her job. Well, take a look at the shape of Massachusetts and the mess we are in right now. You could be a Democrat or a Republican, but take a close look at what is going on here with our lieutenant governor and governor. Would Tim Murray even be in office had his "mistakes" taken place in another state? No. More power to Martha Coakley and the feds who keep looking at the governor's office. We are also lucky to have The Boston Globe staff investigating this craziness. Our taxes are going up and Mr. Murray smirks, saying he will answer all questions and return money that was scored for him by a shady housing authority hawker. It will all be fine, right?
