89-year-old woman who died in Barre fire is identified

The 89-year-old woman killed in a fire in Barre Thursday has been identified. Josephine S. Masulaitis died in the fast-moving fire at her row house at 11 Trafalgar Square, said Timothy Connolly, a spokesman for the Worcester district attorney. She was found just inside the door of the building, said state Fire Marshal Stephen Coan. Masulaitis was the owner and sole occupant of the home, which did not appear to have working smoke detectors, Coan said.
