R.I. man sues ex-wife in daughter’s death

The former husband of a North Kingstown woman convicted of murdering their 8-year-old daughter has filed a wrongful death suit. The Providence Journal reported that Timothy Fry is suing Kimberly Fry, alleging wrongful death in the strangulation of their daughter, Camden, in August 2009. The paper reported that the suit also names Rhode Island Hospital and a therapist there. It says they should have known Fry was struggling with severe depression and was a potential danger to herself and others. A hospital spokeswoman could not immediately be reached by the Associated Press. The suit seeks unspecified damages. Kimberly Fry is serving 20 years in prison.
