A former Ayer resident received a 25-year prison sentence Thursday for producing and distributing child pornography, court records show. Thomas A. Donahue, 46, was sentenced in federal court in Worcester. Authorities seized a laptop and external hard drive from his apartment in February 2011 and discovered a large quantity of illicit pictures and videos, including videos that showed Donahue abusing a young boy, according to prosecutors. Donahue fled the country and was arrested in Belize in April 2011.
