How real is Southie’s new reality show?

In portrayal of family, feel of the neighborhood is absent

Last week, a new chapter began in South Boston, one that many in the community had been dreading. With the premiere of “Southie Rules” on A&E, the neighborhood’s reality show era had officially begun.

And just as soon as the show started rolling, a question emerged: What is this thing?

The show is terrible.

Southie? What's that?

I'm not a big reality show fan, but I gave this a try.

Still not a fan.

has to be the worst show I have seen. Nothing about it is real especially the group of "yuppie" women! AWFUL!

Is this what the "community" really wants to be known for?

So the producers thought that creating a sitcom using non-actors who live in Southie was a good idea? With characters that, accent aside, seem like they've been transplanted from Jersey Shore, the producers don't seem like they had any intention on trying to capture the character of Southie, just to be able to use Southie in the show's title. Should be retitled Train Wreck.

The REAL Southie uncovered! HaHaHa. Losers--Too Bad the there are so many few good folks left. Looks like the project people have moved into the neighborhoods.

Any person who watches reality shows will also be a couch-potato for this one.
