A former volunteer firefighter in Bristol has been ordered to serve 500 hours of community service and pay $110,000 in restitution for stealing a fire vehicle for a drunken joyride and then crashing it. Clayton Hardon, 24, of Devon, Pa., pleaded guilty Tuesday to several charges after taking the Bristol Fire Department special hazards vehicle when he was off duty on July 16, 2011. Charges include driving a motor vehicle without the consent of the owner and drunken driving. Hardon rolled the truck over on the lawn of a home and fled.
