Boston’s top 10 snowstorms

With what forecasters are calling a potentially historic snowstorm headed towards Massachusetts, the question arises: Will we break a record? Here is a list from the National Weather Service of the top 10 biggest snowstorms ever recorded in Boston. To get into the top 10, Boston would have to be blanketed by 18.3 inches of snow.

February 17-18, 2003 27.6 inches


February 6-7, 1978 27.1 inches

February 24-27, 1969 26.3 inches
