Police said they caught a Bridgeport mother at a Post Office trying to pick up a package containing 4½ pounds of marijuana and marijuana-laced baked goods she planned to sell to support her family. The Connecticut Post reported that Cristina Costa, 32, was charged Wednesday with marijuana possession crimes. Police said the package was from California and addressed to Costa. Authorities said officers with the Statewide Narcotics Task Force were waiting for Costa when she showed up at the Bayview Post Office in Bridgeport. Police said Costa told them she is unemployed and was trying to make some money for herself and her young child.
