Whitey Bulger’s wily ways

Is Whitey Bulger crazy?

Or just crazy like a fox?

Comments

He has no defense and he knows he's never getting out.  He's just jerking everybody's chain to have some fun.  These days that's all the fun he gets to have.

All of these maneuvers are marketing teasers to draw the audience in to what will be the most plot-twiting drama to appear in decades.  Mr. Bulger's trial is going to turn over all the rocks on the slimy shore of the anti-crime/organized crime symbiotic industry.  No one except the audience wants to experience the horrifying exposure.

By the way, does anyone else believe Carmen Ortiz, the US Attorney, is being unnecessarily harsh towards Mr. Bulger?  Her office has really piled it on.  I think she's callous.

What is she doing to Bulger.  (Sincere question.  I missed it.)

But I know she is callous.

The whole question of whether Bulger was offered immunity seems crazy. Should we also debate whether he's owed money from the Tooth Fairy? This is America; the rule of law is fundamental. There is no such thing as immunity from prosecution for crimes yet committed. No FBI agent had the power to tell Bulger to go ahead and murder as much as he wanted with impunity. If he was foolish enough to believe a false promise by an incompetent agent, tough luck. It's not an excuse. Ludicrous as a legal defense.
