Boston’s 10 biggest snowstorms

Only eight storms have dropped more than 20 inches of snow on Boston since 1935, according to the National Weather Service in Taunton. The all-time record is the 27.5 inches that fell Feb. 17-18, 2003. The Blizzard of ‘78 is second, with 27.1 inches.

Although I'm not from Boston, I'm a weather hobbyist so I always enjoy these types of articles.  One correction - the snowstorm of Feb. 24-27, 1969 was NOT the same storm that caused headaches for New York City's mayor Lindsay.  That was the storm of Feb. 9-10 which dumped 15.3 inches on NYC.  The storm that buried Boston two weeks later was a  non-event in New York, dropping just 1.3 inches of snow.
