Boston schools closed Tuesday as snow removal continues

‘Snow strike teams’ will target piles on city streets

“Snow strike teams’’ composed of dump trucks and massive front-end loaders are being dispatched across Boston to remove towering mounds that have sprouted across the city from the nor’easter that dumped more than 2 feet of snow.

Public Works Commissioner Joanne Massaro said this afternoon that the city has completed plowing all 810 miles of streets in the city, but is prepared to return to specific locations when alerted to the need by residents.

Perhaps the city should take a page from the way Montreal handles big storms

This is simply embarassing.  The snow stopped around midday Saturday and school will not be in session on Tuesday.  Who will lose his job for this?  Not the mayor, so will it be whoever is in charge of the public works department?
