Gabriel E. Gomez, a former US Navy SEAL and private equity investor, is set to kick off his campaign for the Republican nomination for US Senate Tuesday,with a press release and Web video, said a senior adviser.
Gomez, who took out nomination papers Monday to run in the special election to replace Senator John F. Kerry, will not speak publicly until later.
