Long after cleanup crews hit the city’s roadways, Downey Court remained a sea of white, with calf-high snow jamming the street and trapping cars in driveways.
The mayor’s office urged Boston residents to give the crews time to get extra equipment to help plow such narrow and dead-end streets.

Stay as frustrated as you want. This was an act of Nature...bigger than you. Deal with it.
Of course they ignored the mayor's parking ban.
Given the size of the storm, nothing was going to be perfect. However, the poor response to this storm points to planning and management flaws. There have been storms roughly as large as this in the recent past where snow removal was better. Why doesn’t the city review snow removal approaches of cities such as Montreal to get new ideas? I’m not suggesting a wholesale adoption of how they do it for it is really expensive, however, there may be areas of the city where those approaches can be adopted.
And I love how the city threatens to give tickets to people - sme of them elderly - who can't clear their sidewalks fast enough, yet the sidewalks in front of city-owned properties are NEVER cleared.
