Firefighters save 2 in Ashland

Four-alarm fire breaks out in Main Street building

Firefighters scaled a ladder to save a man and a woman trapped on the third floor of a burning building in a harrowing rescue Monday night on Main Street in Ashland, fire ­officials said.

The blaze in the building, which was built in 1850, was ­reported at 11:06 p.m., according to an Ashland fire dispatcher and town records.
