Who gives a damn about his politics? He's a murdering thug best forgotten to rot in prison. Show me evidence as to which sitting politicians/prosecutors/judges he has bought and paid for and that is a story, one demanding investigation for proof and appropriate action.

Kevin: You should know better. Look at your fabrications. 1. Whitey became a Democrat because FDR built the Old Harbor Village -doubtful he even knew that; 2. Billy asked Father Drinan to be Whitey's pen pal.  Never happened. Whitey wrote to Fathe Drinan because his family knew him. Billy was a BC undergrad at the time, hardly one with influence; 3. Drinan never became Whitey's parole sponsor; 4. Whitey had a no show job, in fact you know he worked at the Suffollk Court house. When he stopped working he was taken off the payroll.  I could go on but you know you are making these things up just to sell your book which makes me think there is little in your book that will be worth reading.

What's with you always trying to connect Whitey with Billy. Are you under some type of mandate from your employer the Globe to do this. Are you sugessting that Billy as a BC undergraduate was telling Father Drinan the BC Law School Dean what he should do? What point are you trying to make with your story about Drinan.  Wasn't he a priest? Aren't priests suppose to aid those in prison? Do you have any evidence Drinan corresponded with or had any connection with Whitey after he got out of prison in 1965? Or, that Drinan did anything illicit with respect to Whitey. If you do, I'd like to hear it. If not, what's your purpose in trying to use words to besmirch the reputation of a fine priest?

Here's what I would really like to know. How much did Dick Sunday get from you to show you the Whitey letters?  And when are you going to level with the people and tell them that there has never been shown an illicit connection between Whitey and Billy and that it is your goal, whenever you have a chance, to drag down Billy's name even though there has been no evidence that he was an upright public servant who worked hard in public service for the people on the bottom of the spectrum. And what about telling us of your connections with the federal prosecutors that allows you to get secret grand jury minutes of Billy's testimony?

You say in your business have onlywords but they can be used to damage people much more severely than a couple of bullets fired a the Globe's windows especially when the words are part of a cabal that is formed for the purpose of destroying a person.

There are a number of Globe columnists from whom I wouldn't be surprised to see a shopping list of factoids strung together without any real structure. Mr. Cullen was not on that list until today. I am disappointed.
