A Natick man pleaded guilty Monday to being drunk while operating a snow plow during the recent blizzard. Charges against John Douglas Wright included operating under the influence. He was pulled over in Wayland at about 8 p.m. Friday after a driver reported that he had almost been struck by Wright’s pickup truck. Police said Wright, 49, had a plastic water bottle with about an inch of vodka in it, told officers he had drunk “a lot,” and had a blood alcohol content of more than three times the legal limit. He was sentenced to a year of probation, lost his license for 45 days, was ordered not to drink alcohol, and was fined $785, The MetroWest Daily News reported.
