Norton firefighters and police responded to the scene at 2:49 p.m. Firefighter Robert Crowley was nearby at the time of the crash, clearing snow from fire hydrants. He responded to the scene and immediately began providing medical care for Lozeau, officials said.

Lozeau was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, where he was later pronounced dead, Jackson said.

The plow driver, George Guptill, 48, of Rhode Island, was also transported to the hospital for evaluation. He was not cited in the crash, Jackson said.

Norton and State Police are investigating the crash.
