Norton man, 50, killed when vehicle collides head-on with town plow truck

A 50-year-old man was killed when his vehicle crashed head-on into a Norton plow truck Tuesday afternoon, Norton Police Lieutenant Todd M. Jackson said today.

William Lozeau of Norton was driving west on Route 123 near Norton Middle School when his vehicle veered into an eastbound lane, colliding with a town highway department plow truck traveling east, Jackson said.

Norton firefighters and police responded to the scene at 2:49 p.m. Firefighter Robert Crowley was nearby at the time of the crash, clearing snow from fire hydrants. He responded to the scene and immediately began providing medical care for Lozeau, officials said.

Lozeau was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, where he was later pronounced dead, Jackson said.
