Raccoon caught on camera trying to use Downtown Crossing Station escalator

An unusual commuter wearing a fur coat and a mask was caught on camera going down the up escalator at Downtown Crossing Station, Jan. 21.

The confused raccoon appeared frustrated with his lack of progress down the moving stairs.

The animal was later removed by animal control, the MBTA said.
