US Representative Edward J. Markey leads US Representative Stephen F. Lynch by 7 percentage points in a new poll, a clear margin, but perhaps not as wide as some political insiders would have predicted in the Democratic primary to succeed John F. Kerry in the US Senate.
The WBUR/MassINC telephone poll of 498 registered voters taken Monday through Wednesday shows Markey, of Malden, leading Lynch, of South Boston, 38 percent to 31 percent among voters who said they were likely to vote in a Democratic primary, just inside the margin of error of plus or minus 4.4 percentage points.

cordgrass you need to move into the district that Markey represents in Congress. . . Getting him or his staff to do something takes a whole lot of begging, pleading and tooth pulling... The guy cares about Ed Markey and his mansion in Maryland... and which ever issue he happens to wake up and get a brain spurt about on any given day... He has not worked a day of the last 30 years he has spent sitting on his duff in the U.S. House. . . . You want somebody you can respect in the Senate, even if it was Teddy Kennedy . . . I know little about this Lynch fellow except that is ia bit too pro union for my taste, but it seems he is a lot more sincere and working class folks oriented than Eddy the Malden Kid

boatwrote hasnt a clue...... Having lived in Rep. Markeys district all my life i have contacted his offic eon numerous occasions. Each time i was called back by Rep Markey and he worked though the issue. He has been outstanding as a Rrepresentave and will make a great Senator.
@boat Your experience, if indeed you ever did personally contact Congressman Markey, is very different from the stories I've heard from people. He's hush own himself to be interested, wise, and truly helpful to several people I know.

I think this should say "outside" not "inside" the margin of error. Inside the margin of error would be if they were 4.4 points or less apart. They are 7 points apart.
Lynch is sort of a DINO. I'd vote for him if he was the Democratic choice but I hope he isn't.
