Of course, neither of those things are remotely true. When Jay Carney, Whitey’s lawyer, announced Wednesday that Whitey wasn’t a rat, he was merely repeating what Whitey has been saying since his arrest in sunny Santa Monica almost two years ago.

Don't see the question of Whitey's immunity ever getting to a jury in Whitey's lifetime...the judge has already ruled the immunity issue is a matter of law not of fact, so he as judge (and not the jury) decides the immunity issue. Whitey's lawyers will appeal the judge's decision on this, likely after a guilty verdict...although it's possible for the judge to delay the trial so Whitey's lawyers can bring the immunity-as-a jury-issue to the Court of Appeals before trial. Either way, it'll be two years before appeals are finished, and, with Whitey now 83 1/2, he's likely not going to be around when he's 85 1/2. So, Whitey's task may not be so Sisyphean after all...an end one day will definitely come to this evil man who has cheated death so many times before.
I don't see why you can't follow the logic of Matarano when he said you can't rat on a rat. Whitey was giving information on everyone so he's a rat. Matarano was giving information about Whitey after knowing that Whitey had ratted everyone out. Had he done that before knowing Whitey was a rat, he'd have been a rat.

In the book Black Mass, the authors say that he gave up no information to the FBI, but they got conned into giving him everything he wanted. There's a lot of dirt there, and it's not all on Bulger's side.Also,only the testimony of Kevin Weeks ties Bulger to the murders of the two women. Kevin Weeks, accessory to those murders, at the very least. Hardly unmotivated information.I don't sympathize with Bulger, but a cold hard look at facts is needed here.
Aaaaah Madame Lemon you'd be hard-pressed to have anyone believe you're not a Bulger sympathizer. Kevin Weeks was NOT the only one who gave that information out. Stevie Flemmi admitted to it. Black Mass doesn't claim he gave NO information, only that the information he gave benefitted him also so he was the winner on both ends. This evil man? is worse than Hitler. Hitler didn't have the stomach to actually strangle women and torture men himself. He had others do it. Bulger relished torturing tied up men and strangling young women. He doesn't have even ONE redeeming quality. Smarten up!!!
