A Methuen city employee died Friday night when he was thrown from his car after it veered off Interstate 95 in Portsmouth, N.H., and rolled multiple times. William Lasonde, 63, died at Portsmouth Regional Hospital, the New Hampshire State Police said. Lasonde worked in Methuen’s information technology department. A father of three, Lasonde enjoyed umpiring local baseball games and traveling with his wife, Diane, said his son Tim Lasonde, 36, of Methuen. “He was kind of a handy man around the house,” said Tim Lasonde. “He was helping me restore a motorcycle.”
