Mattapan shooting victim identified

Boston police have identified the man killed early Sunday morning in a Mattapan shooting as 27-year-old Rayshawn Lamont Few of Boston. Few was shot multiple times at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the area of 24 Woodruff Way, near the junction of Morton Street and Gallivan Boulevard, and pronounced dead at the scene, police said in a statement posted to the department’s website. Officers pursued a brown vehicle seen fleeing the area at a high speed and arrested Osmell Odena,22, of Boston. Officers also located a loaded handgun near the vehicle. Odena was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition. Two other suspects evaded capture, police said.
