Canton police made the largest marijuana bust in the depart­ment’s history Friday, Chief Kenneth Berkowitz said.

Acting on a tip that a shipment of marijuana was coming in to Canton, police apprehended a suspect and seized about 300 pounds of marijuana valued at approximately $1 million. Sealed in dozens of plastic bags, the marijuana was stacked on tables at the Canton police station Tuesday as Berkowitz described the arrest.
