Small earthquake recorded off Newburyport coast

Did you feel the earth tremble the tiniest bit?

The US Geological Survey says a small earthquake was recorded Tuesday night just off of Newburyport.

The quake was recorded at 10:56 p.m. 2.4 miles east-southeast of Newburyport, or 3 miles south of Salisbury.

The magnitude was 1.8. Earthquakes of that size are not felt except by a very few under especially favorable conditions, according to the USGS.
