Vermont State Police say a 25-year-old Pittsfield man died after his snowmobile crashed into a tree at about 11 p.m. Friday. Police say Bartholomew Dougherty crashed after his snowmobile left the roadway in Pittsfield for an unknown reason. Police said Dougherty was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and that alcohol may have been a factor. (AP)
