After candidates spent weeks furiously scrambling to qualify for the campaigns, two spirited special primary races for the US Senate seat have taken shape, with a surprising three-way Republican battle and a fight between two seasoned Democratic congressmen.
The final piece to the GOP race fell into place in the last few days with reports that Michael J. Sullivan, former US attorney and onetime Plymouth district attorney, has collected enough signatures of registered voters to qualify for the GOP ballot.

This should be interesting. We have Mr. Gomez who, because he's a former navy SEAL, thinks that President Obama is not qualified to lead as commander in chief because he never wore a uniform (was never in the military). Abraham Lincoln, Woodrow Wilson and Franklin D. Roosevelt led us to victory in wartime and they never wore uniforms.
Mr. Sullivan is against abortion and gay marriage and yet he's running for senator to represent Massachusetts?? He should consider selling snow tires in florida when he loses the race. He really is a Southern Democrat if you know what I mean. Didn't Mr. Sullivan recently work for the former George W. Bush Attorney General Ashcroft's law firm as a lobbyist??
Steve Lynch is another Southern Democrat who decided to modify his stance on abortion shortly after he announced his run for the senate. He's now looking for statewide votes so he had to do something. When he loses, he should sell lumber for wooden ships. Add it all up and we get another political race with candidates targeting gullible voters with illogical rhetoric and it loks like Gomez is leading the way. How much can the general public take?
I'll bite, Henry Ford. What do you mean by "Southern Democrat."
Google Southern Democrat to read the history for your answer.
