GOP field rejects ad pledge in Senate race

Brace yourself for more anonymous political ads: On Monday, the three Republican candidates in the US Senate primary rejected a Democratic proposal to bar outside groups from running television ads or sending mailers in the special election campaign.

Two of the three called it a ploy to put them at a disadvantage. While both Democrats in the race — US Representatives Edward Markey and Stephen Lynch — are experienced candidates with substantial war chests, the Republicans are all first-time congressional candidates who are just beginning to raise money.

All the outside wacko Republican ads in the world won't help this nobody win.  He is a loser. Let the outside groups waste their money here.

I am a Democrat and plan to vote Democrat in this special election.  But this comment does not make any sense.

Plus, it is mean-spirited and is representative of that which makes politics so distasteful these days.  "He... is a loser".

Who is "he". The article talks about 3 Republican candidates.

former, interim Senator Scott Brown didnt need outside money to sling mud and, just a guess here, none of these three will, either.

they are on the right track, though, for Republican candidates: they know how to instinctively say "NO".

I guess I can't blame the Republicans for not signing onto the campaign pledge when they will need all the name-recognition help they can get, but at least one of them (Winslow, specifically) is open to signing other pledges.

Winslow's name is on the list of those who signed the Norquist pledge.

I was looking forward to a colorful Winslow campaign, but anyone who has signed a pledge that supercedes their constutitional pledge, state or federal, will never have my support.

more of the same vote Dem

Great we have a fake Indian now we get to vote for a moron peddling fake claims of a co2 holocaust.
