Sullivan under fire over stance on marriage

Republican Senate candidate Michael J. Sullivan, under attack from the state Democratic Party, sent mixed messages about his stance on same-sex marriage Wednesday, highlighting how his conservative social views have clouded his entry into the race.

Speaking to reporters in the morning and to a conservative radio host in the afternoon, Sullivan, a former US attorney, insisted he would not back away from his opposition to same-sex marriage, calling himself “a traditionalist when it comes to the definition of marriage.”

His help in prosecuting Finneran instantly puts him at the top of the list!!!

I know, I know..it's not what you've done, it's who you'll dance with.

But I can dream...

Sullivan would be a lock if he ran someplace like Alabama or South Carolina. Fortunately, we live in Massachusetts so he has no chance regardless of how he tries to contort his positions on the issues.

Just as I've said all along, Sullivan and Lynch are "Southern Democrats" living here in the north.

I think he just blew it!

If he were smart like President Kennedy, he would announce that his religeon (or Roman Catholic denomination) would not influence his decisions.  He would not force his personal beliefs on to this country.  Also, that's what John Kerry did (although Kerry is pro-choice).

Sullivan and Lynch are "Southen Democrats" with a Boston accent.  Also, I believe Sullivan and Democratic Party Chair Walsh live in the same town in Abington.
