Winslow releases tax information

Republican Senate candidate Daniel B. Winslow, who has suggested that he is a member of the middle class, earned more than $500,000 a year in both 2010 and 2011, making him part of the top 1 percent of earners in America.

Winslow, a state representative and trial lawyer, released the information in a one-page memo that showed his annual earnings and the federal tax rate he paid every year between 2003 and 2011. With his memo, he became the first candidate to inject the issue of tax returns into the special election.

Who cares, he's just trying to get coverage for a pretty lame campaign, and El Globo fell for it.

Winslow refinanced his  Norfolk house a number of times, and just last fall refinanced for far more than he originally paid for the house (about $200K more).  Looks like he's done some of that in Truro, too.  Given the very low interest rates, I'm not sure that's all bad, but I wonder if it was done to make his college financial aid statements look better.

Regardless, with 2 properties valued at over $1M combined, and earnings of $500K+ each year, he's far from middle class.  He can drop that claim now.

Still, he released his tax returns - good for him.  Let's see all the other candidates do the same.
