Braintree man charged in Roxbury shooting


Boston police arrested a Braintree man on charges related to a shooting a Roxbury on Friday evening, officials said in a statement Saturday. Paul Walrond, 22, faces charges of assault with intent to murder, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, and other gun and driving violations, the statement said. Police responded to a call for a person shot on Holworthy Street shortly before 8 p.m. Friday. A victim, whose name was not released, was shot multiple times and transported to Boston Medical Center, the statement said, and is in stable condition. Officers arrested Walrond as he was driving away from the scene, the statement said.
