A report by the Executive Office of Education released Thursday cleared former Department of Early Education and Care Commissioner Sherri Killins of any illegal activity, but found that she did violate department procedures. Killins stepped down from her position earlier this week amid questions over her enrollment in a program in Ware that trains school superintendents. According to a letter from Secretary of Education Matthew Malone. Killins submitted travel voucher reimbursement and travel authorization forms without required signatures. “She did not commit serious wrongdoing, though it appears that some administrative procedures were not followed,” Malone wrote.

What a joke.....people in these leadership positions should set an example for others in schools. It may not have been illegal, but it was unprofessional and thoughtless. There is a definite problem with our education department..do we really need a multitude of high paid administators who carry an elitist attitude? Send the money back to the district to hire teachers and to support teaching and learning.
200000 for an an education secretary......I can't vote for any tax increase until there is a compensation analysis in the department of education......let's wake up to this scam.
