Gomez loses some support

Republican US Senate candidate Gabriel E. Gomez lost the support of two of the three leaders of his women’s coalition Thursday, a day after releasing a letter that showed him praising Governor Deval Patrick, a Democrat, and attesting to his support for President Obama in the 2008 election.

Angela Davis of Foxborough and Rachel Kemp of Boston both left the campaign less than a week after they were named cochairwomen of the Women for Gomez group.

Gomez was looking like a decent candidate until Deval leaked the letter and now we are hearing more about his foolish political maneuvering.

Is he that naive and clueless to think that Patrick would ever appoint a Republican? That in and of itself should rule him out.

Gomez may not have specifically lied about whom he voted for in 2008. But he’s lying about not being anything more than a calculating politician. In his case he’s bad at it.

Look at the pattern; he uses the word “supported” by that he means he gave money to.  He claims in Obama’s case it was to appease friend who went to school with Obama.
That is interesting in and of itself, since no one else in the country seems to know anyone that went to school with Obama. But returning to point, he claims he did a similar thing in the 2010 special election for US Senate. About the $1,000 he gave to Crazy Alan Khazei, he says it was just in the primary….. but he voted for Scott Brown.

Now does anyone else think it odd that one would give money and support to one candidate but vote for his or her opponent?
