Woman’s death in New Bedford may be homicide

The Bristol district attorney’s office said the death of a 35-year-old New Bedford woman found in her apartment is being investigated as a homicide. A spokesman for the district attorney said Tiffany Ann Durfee was found dead by a relative at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. Anyone with information about her death or who may have seen anything suspicious in her neighborhood on Tuesday or Wednesday is asked to call New Bedford police. A neighbor told The Standard-Times that Durfee lived in the apartment with her three children and had moved in less than a year ago.
