Boston councilor prepares to host St. Patrick’s Day breakfast

In the sprint to host his first St. Patrick’s Day breakfast, Boston city councilor Bill Linehan has heard a parade of bad jokes. (The worst: “An Irish guy walks out of a bar. Yes, it is possible.”)

Linehan has been reminded of the lessons learned at previous breakfasts. (The most important: Don’t invite Guy Glodis, the former Worcester County sheriff whose boorish jokes offended the audience.)

Now this is TRANSPARENCY in government in action! The Boston pols will insult the taxpayers and voters in the OPEN  for all of us to See and HEAR! If only the SEQUESTER would have shut this foolishness down. I guess it wouldn't have met the necessary inconvenience demanded by the Obama team of democrats!

They should put this thing out of its misery. It hasn't been funny/witty in decades.

They should just hold the breakfast and parade somewhere on the South Shore and save everyone the commute.

With every changing of the guard, this event and its host gets dumbed down a little more.
