City Council faces heat over ‘hack holidays’

The city of Boston has essentially eliminated the infamous “hack holidays,” the longstanding tradition that once gave municipal workers paid days off on Bunker Hill Day and Evacuation Day, which happens to fall on St. Patrick’s Day.

But the ritual lives on for the Boston City Council.

Is this an article or op ed?  We should recognize two significant events in Boston's revolutionary history.  I am more appalled at the $330k being paid to the Cambridge City manager. Whether you live there or not, federal money supports a lot thin budgets in every city, so we are all paying.

Its a commentary on just how UN-representative our elected "representatives" are.  They are no longer subject to the laws or duties of their employers- the TAXPAYING citizens.  With rare exception they are simply keeping their place at the feeding trough and couldn't care less what the 'public' feels or thinks.
