Driver may have crossed center line in fatal crash with truck

A preliminary investigation showed that a 22-year-old woman who died in a car crash in Easton early Friday morning drifted over the center line before striking a diesel fuel truck, Easton police said. Alexandra Hamilton, of Easton, the daughter of an Easton police officer, died Friday morning at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston after the crash on Turnpike Street. The driver of the truck swerved to avoid the car, but Hamilton’s Dodge Stratus struck the left side of the vehicle, police said. The investigation is continuing, according to police.
