Vt. man arrested on drug charges; dad turns him in

A Vermont man is facing marijuana charges after his father turned him in to police, saying his son was growing the drug in bedroom closets. Nicholas Hough, 20, of St. Johnsbury, pleaded not guilty Monday to a felony charge of marijuana cultivation and a misdemeanor charge of possession. Police said Hough's father — Clifton Hough, 51 — went to the State Police in February and said he suspected that his son had set up a growing operation in both of his bedroom closets. The Caledonian-Record reported that the elder Hough told police he hoped to put a scare into his son and does not want illegal activity in his home.
