Attack sub to return after deployment

A nuclear-powered attack submarine is returning to the Navy base in Groton after a six-month deployment. The USS Alexandria steamed some 34,000 miles on its travels to and around the US Africa Command and European Command areas of responsibility. The Los Angeles-class submarine was expected back at the Naval Submarine Base on Wednesday. The Norwich Free Academy Wildcat Marching Band was expected to be on hand to welcome the crew home.
