Police said a Pembroke High School student caught by school officials with a bong in his backpack later drove his car toward a teacher trying to stop him. Michael Muzyka was released on personal recognizance after pleading not guilty Monday to charges including assault with a dangerous weapon and marijuana possession. Police said that after officials found the bong Friday afternoon, a teacher tried to stop the student from leaving campus by standing in front of his car. Police allege Muzyka, 18, accelerated, forcing the teacher to move aside to avoid being struck.
