Rhode Island Air National Guard officials said they may have to cancel this year’s air show at Quonset State Airport in North Kingstown because of federal government budget cuts. Major Christopher Peloso of the 143d Airlift Wing said Guard officials are considering what to do after the show’s star attraction, the Navy’s Blue Angels flight team, and six other military acts pulled out of the show Tuesday because of the automatic spending cuts known as sequestration. This year’s Rhode Island National Guard Open House and Air Show is scheduled for June 29 and 30.
