Police arrest driver, seize 2,000 pounds of marijuana in Everett

State Police say that an Arizona man was arrested after a trooper found more than 2,000 pounds of suspected marijuana in the vehicle he was driving through Everett Friday afternoon. Luis Barrios, 28, of Tucson, was driving a box truck on Route 16 when a trooper witnessed him switch lanes abruptly and pulled him over, State Police said. The trooper saw a bundle in the front seat that appeared be packaged narcotics, obtained consent to search the truck, and found about 100 more bundles of the suspected drugs, State Police said. Barrios faces numerous charges, including trafficking in marijuana, State Police said.
