Heavy police presence, fewer travelers at Logan

A heavy security presence greeted travelers arriving at Logan International Airport late Friday morning, although employees at the airport said the number of travelers appeared less than normal, likely because of the public transportation ban and authorities’ orders for people to stay home.

Some passengers said they were successfully able to call cabs to bring them to the airport, though taxis have been ordered off the roads.
