Police say that a 19-year-old man was shot to death in Providence, a month after his 20-year-old cousin was also fatally shot. Police said Wednesday that officers responding to a shooting on Harvard Avenue Tuesday evening found Demitri Todd of Providence about 30 feet from a Toyota Camry that had crashed into a pole. He was suffering from a gunshot wound. Police said he was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Commander Thomas Oates said police believe Todd was driving the car and was shot when he came to a stop. Oates said Todd was a cousin of Wesley Smith, who was shot to death in the city on March 27.
