64-year-old Haverhill woman charged in stabbing death of boyfriend

A Haverhill woman is facing murder charges in the stabbing death of her boyfriend at their home Monday night, prosecutors said today.

Susan Lovejoy, 64, was arrested after police responded to her apartment on Water Street just after 11:30 p.m. Monday, said Carrie Kimball-Monahan, a spokeswoman for Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett.

Lovejoy’s arrest was made in connection with the stabbing death of her boyfriend, Kevin Paul, 51, who was killed in the apartment they shared, Kimball-Monahan said.

Lovejoy is to be arraigned today in Haverhill District Court. No further information was immediately available.
