Narragansett man charged with killing mother


A Narragansett man has been charged with murder in the death of his mother after human remains were found in a trash bin near her apartment. Robert M. Taylor, 45, was arraigned overnight at Rhode Island Hospital, where he was being held in the psychiatric unit. Police Chief Dean Hoxsie told The Providence Journal that Taylor had been staying with his mother, identified as Allison Taylor. Police said her remains were found Tuesday.
