Gun stolen from court recovered; 3 from Everett charged

Three Everett residents were arraigned late last week on various gun and drug charges, including allegedly possessing a gun stolen from the Chelsea District Court evidence locker two years ago, according to the Middlesex district attorney’s office. Jeffrey Sanon, 30; Liban Ali, 21; and Malensky Oscar, 21, were arrested after police, armed with a search warrant, combed the home shared by the three for a stolen laptop after an antitheft tracking device installed on the computer indicated it was in the home. During the search, police reportedly found, in addition to the laptop, several high-capacity guns — including the pistol stolen from the court — as well as a shotgun, more than 36 grams of cocaine, high-capacity magazines, and other ammunition. The gun from the evidence locker was one of three stolen from Chelsea in 2011, according to authorities. All three suspects have a pretrial hearing on June 5.
