A woman accused of hitting her 2-year-old son several times faces new charges in New Hampshire after the boy died. Unique Gould was originally scheduled for a hearing on assault charges Monday. Instead, she faced new charges, including manslaughter, in Nashua District Court. She has also been charged with one count of first-degree assault, and three counts of second-degree assault in the death of Devon Gould. The boy was hospitalized for two weeks with serious injuries. He died Friday. Gould told police said she struck her son numerous times across the buttocks and across his head. She said she also ‘‘blacked out’’ and admitted to hitting the boy ‘‘very hard.’’
