US marshals seek suspect in Lynn shooting

Suspect also wanted for attempted strangulation in N.H.

Authorities in two states are looking for Shaun Springer, who allegedly choked a woman in New Hampshire and is also a suspect in a Lynn shooting.

The crimes involving Stringer have made him the “Fugitive of the Week’’ of the US Marshals Service in New Hampshire.Springer allegedly choked a woman into unconsciousness on April 6 in New Hampshire. He is also wanted in connection with a shooting in Lynn earlier this month.

The marshals are asking residents of Boston’s North Shore area to be on the lookout for him. He has family and friends in the Lynn area, authorities said.

Springer, 28, known as “Shizz,’’ was last known to be living in Portsmouth, N.H., according to law enforcement officials. Authorities said he is an aspiring rapper who may have let his hair grow out and may now be wearing braids.

Authorities asked anyone with information on Springer to contact them and not to attempt to interact with Springer. He is considered armed and dangerous.

The US Marshals Service urged people with tips to call 603-225-1632 or 1-877-WANTED-2.
