Marblehead man gets 3 months for head-butting T bus driver


A Marblehead man pleaded guilty Monday to head-butting an MBTA bus driver last July and was sentenced to three months in jail, a spokesman for Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said. John Kerivan, 48, pleaded guilty to assault and battery on a public employee as his trial was set to begin in Chelsea District Court, said Conley’s spokesman, Jake Wark. Prosecutors alleged that Kerivan screamed at the driver, then head-butted him, as Kerivan and other passengers were boarding a bus at Wonderland station at about 10 p.m. on July 23, 2012, Wark said.
